二代新藤義國は新藤國義の子で、岩手県盛岡（南部藩）の刀匠。
新藤義國は元禄十二年（1699年）に家督を継いで、享保十五年（1730年）に没している。
なお、義國の遺作は非常に少ない。
2025年３月度の日刀保の特別保存合格の刀。
